About Me
I began playing piano and keyboards when I was seven years old. Guitar came into the picture for me on July 4, 1966, followed by the electric bass and Hammond B3 organ in 1978. I began performing professionally when I was sixteen and did my first professional recording session at 23 with music’s legendary Bill Graham and company. Expanding my performance and recording with the Fender Rhodes, Wurlitzer and Clavinet, plus Arp, Moog, Korg, Roland, Sequential Circuits and Oberheim synthesizers, I finally settled on the Yamaha P-80 digital piano and the Nord Electro2 synthesizer (73 key version) as my instruments of choice, which I use to this day. I have numerous stages I can call home throughout Northern California, with ten years in the spotlight at the notorious Blues clubs of San Francisco’s North Beach and Fisherman’s Wharf districts. Two particularly fond memories of mine were opening for The Band (Bob Dylan’s original backup band) during their 1980’s reunion tour and performing with Joe Satriani before his climb to stardom.
